Ran across The Country Gospel Trio on the Internet!!! What a Blessing! Brings back wonderful, wonderful, wonderful memories. They sang for us when we as teenagers raised money for the Steeple on our church Victory Baptist Church with Bro. Jay Bice as our Pastor! The pianist said it was the only time they had sang beside a cow pasture. The cow's even enjoyed their singing, They came running up to the fence to listen. And oh the sound they kept hollering when they finished singing! We raised enough money in that one 24 hr "Rock-A-Thon" to pay for and put the steeple on the Church! It always feels good when I drive by the Church and know I was there when the plans we're made, concrete poured and the first piece of wood nailed on that church, My initials are in the concrete in a secret place..haha... Oh and lets not forget the services held in the basement with the heat RISING and tar all over our beautiful dresses! And the services that were held in the tent prior to the basement. We had doggies attending and participating in the service (my dog of course).
What a wonderful blessing of PRECIOUS MEMORIES the Country Gospel Trio have brought back to me today, sure wish I had this in CD.
Bro. Leonard Chambers came along as the Pastor a few years after the Steeple. And, now I still keep in touch with the majority of the Victory Family from years past. Bro. Jay is with my mom in Heaven along with the very first Pastor, Bro. Dewey McKown. Also, My Pastor who was preaching our revival when I got Saved Bro. Bunyon and Frances McClung! Heaven Sure is Getting Sweeter Everyday. What a Glad Reunion we will Have One Day!

A "Precious Memory" shared by Joe Meadows:
Robert Carter was our neighbor in his later years and we hated his passing but know he's in heaven. We were good friends with Robert and Swannie but have since moved away. I remember going to their house and how I loved when he would play the piano for me. Thanks, Joe Meadows - TN
