Are You Lonesome Tonight
I know most of you guys remember this one from The King! |
I Call Him Lord
The real reason for Christmas seems to get lost further and further with each passing year. It is very difficult for me to get excited anymore about the Christmas season. Here is one my favorite Christmas tunes, though I doubt it will get very few views, if any. |

Maria Elena
I can't play this like Los Indios Tabajaras. But, if you cut through all the fancy stuff, the base line melody is still beautiful. |
You Belong To Me
In 1952, I was seven years old and a wonderful artist by the name of, Jo Stafford, came out with this beautiful song in the pop field. I loved it! Then sometime in the 60's or 70's a group called, The Duprees, recorded it and it hit big time again. I hope you LIKE my little version of it. |

The Old Spinning Wheel In The Parlor
Lap Steel Version One of the first tunes I learned to play, oh so many years ago, was this one. Traditionally it is played with guitars, mandolins, fiddles in more of a bluegrass style. But I thought I would slow the tempo down and try it on the lap steel in more of a waltz. So here it is! |
Deep Water
I have mentioned on other videos my love for Bob Wills music. I thought I would give it a try on another one of my favorites from Bob. So many artists have done this tune, and I'm not sure who my favorite is. George Strait and Asleep At The Wheel are at the top of my list. I hope you LIKE my little effort on it. |

Crying Time Again (medley)
They are called "Tear Jerkers" by many pickers and singers. Just good old "Sad" tunes, in my thinking, that sound so good and I love to play. Here is a little medley of three of them that have been big hits for many artists. Buck Owens did one my favorite versions of, "Crying Time Again." And with, "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain," I'll have to go with Willie Nelson. Ray Charles is my favorite on, "Born To Loose." I hope you LIKE my arrangement. |
Faded Love
I have always been a fan of Bob Wills music. And when my favorite female country music artist, Patsy Cline, recorded a tribute album of Bob's tunes, I was in line to buy one. She did all of them beautifully and my favorite was, Faded Love. In her version she did not modulate keys from verse to chorus and I am playing her version here. I hope you LIKE my arrangement. |

Kentucky Waltz
Lap Steel Version I thought I would do one of my favorite country classic tunes today. This old tune lends itself to either a fiddle, mandolin, or guitar lead; but I thought I would give it a go on the lap steel. What do you guys think? |
